About Course

Prepare for the Florida Civic Literacy Exam with confidence

The Florida Civic Literacy Exam (FCLE) has 80 multiple-choice questions across four areas, and a passing score is 48 correct (60%). This study guide teaches what each area covers and trains you to answer the way the exam asks.

What’s inside

  • All four domains, chapter by chapter: American Democracy, the U.S. Constitution, Founding Documents, and Landmark Cases, Legislation and Executive Actions.
  • Practice questions with explanations: over 250 questions, and every explanation says why the right answer is right and why the tempting wrong answers fail.
  • Two full-length practice exams: 80 questions each, 20 per domain, with answer keys and a score tracker that shows which domain to study next.
  • Primary-source practice: a step-by-step method for reading excerpts, scenarios, tables, political cartoons and graphs.
  • Look-alike warnings and traps: the pairs students confuse most, such as the Ninth and Tenth Amendments, Gideon and Miranda, and duty and responsibility.
  • Study tools: three study plans (3 weeks, 1 week and retake), a glossary, a master timeline, cross-domain connections and a final checklist.
  • A chapter built on FLDOE’s topic list: it adds the less common cases, laws, executive actions and founding documents the official list includes.

Who it’s for

  • First-time test takers who need the main ideas back.
  • Students who didn’t pass and need to find their weak domain.
  • Anyone who finds civics easier when each idea is tied to the problem it solved.
